In the U.S. and globally, leisure was one of the hardest hit major industries during the pandemic. In lodging, dining, travel, sports, live events, gyms, “athleisure” apparel, sporting goods, movies/theaters, e-gaming, or otherwise, it was challenging to stay in business, even with massive federal aid.
