Opportunities from a Post-Pandemic Focus on Infrastructure

There is a general consensus that the U.S. should make badly required investments in infrastructure to accelerate its post-pandemic economic recovery. This includes repairing, upgrading and expanding transportation systems (e.g., roads, rail, mass transit, aviation, ports etc.), schools, the electrical grid and water systems, as well as the broadband capacity that became so critical for supporting remote work, education and telemedicine. There is also a recognition that many of these essential infrastructure systems are becoming increasingly vulnerable to and need better protection from cyber threats. This panel will discuss the nation’s infrastructure needs as well as the opportunities that a post-pandemic focus on infrastructure renewal and expansion could provide for entrepreneurs and innovators.
