Deploying Innovations to Create a Better Future for the World: Creating a System to Accelerate Use of Relevant Solutions

The world has many proven technologies but no unified mechanism to deploy them rapidly at scale.
The Global Solutions Institute (GSI) created a platform, the Global Deployment System (GDS), to address this gap. The GDS accelerates both the domestic and international rollout of solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges in food, water, healthcare, the environment, and energy.
Core GDS components are:

• Deployment Registries: catalog of ready-to-deploy technologies and other solutions from companies and NGOs
• Funding Sources: a matrix of public and private financing options
• Deployment Partners: networks of implementers worldwide including GDS’s flagship, the GSI Fulbright Initiative. That Initiative mobilizes over 200,000 alumni in 160+ countries where local committees assess national needs and connect proven technologies with the best deployment partners.

This panel ‘s representatives from those components will discuss how the GDS can scale solutions, in the U.S. and abroad, to create a better future for the world.
