Rich is a data-driven business leader with a passion for education innovation. His early career included more than a dozen years in senior roles leading product, pricing, marketing, sales operations, and data analytics. As an executive, he now leverages this broad experience by driving sustainable and measureable growth strategies for companies and institutions that create new approaches to improving people’s lives through education.
Rich served as EVP, Marketing & Analytics at 2U, Inc. for almost four years where he played a key role in delivering 400% revenue growth and was a member of the executive team that took the company public. As Chief Marketing Officer at General Assembly, he led the organization through critical growth stages and geographic expansion. In his current role of CMO at Noodle Partners, Rich has spent the past year as a key architect of the business plan that is disrupting the traditional online program management (OPM) model. Rich also serves as an advisor for several EdTech startups and has been a featured speaker at events for i3@UNC and Google Education.
When he isn’t thinking about ways to improve the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of education, he enjoys following his favorite hockey teams, bicycling, and discovering new music. He resides in Potomac, MD with his wife, two children and loyal mutt.
