Prashila Dullabh is Health IT Program Area Director for Health Information Technology. In this role she leads NORC’s health IT project portfolio. She is responsible for directing health IT technical assistance, evaluation and assessment projects for federal agencies and foundations. Dr. Dullabh also leads health IT business development and proposal activities at NORC.
Dr. Dullabh is NORC’s Project Director for the Evaluation of the State Health Information Exchange Cooperative Agreement Program for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). This is a four-year, mixed-method evaluation of the $560 million State Health Information Exchange Cooperative Agreement Program funded under HITECH. Dullabh has also led various evaluations including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Fee-For-Service Personal Health Record Pilot, the Common Ground evaluation for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the EHR-Lab Interoperability and Connectivity Specification (ELINCS) standard for the California Healthcare Foundation and the CMS electronic prescribing pilots. Dullabh has also directed large technical assistance centers including the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) National Resource Center for Health IT and the Health Resources and Services Administration HIT Technical Assistance Center.
Before joining NORC, Dr. Dullabh was the Informatics and Clinical Team Manager at PHNS/Adventist Healthcare where she was responsible for large-enterprise wide clinical implementation projects There she led the workflow analysis and redesign efforts associated with clinical system implementations. Earlier, she led the Tunitas Group Practice in automated IT workflow and design.
