Mark launched and leads the HHS Buyers Club, a HHS IDEA Lab sponsored project addressing a critical problem in government, ineffective and inefficient acquisition of IT services. He also serves as Director for the Federal-wide Buyers Club and as an IT Vendor Management Specialist within the Vendor Management Office (VMO) of the Office of the Chief Information Officer. His first book, The Rooster’s Crow: Answering the Call for Innovation and Entrepreneurship across America, was published in 2013. Mark was recognized this year among the Federal 100 for playing a pivotal role in the Federal IT community. Mark received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from The University of Alabama and has lived in Washington, D.C. since April 2014.
