Mark Drever is the President, CEO and Founding Partner of Xcelerate Solutions, which opened for business on September 11, 2009. Mark is responsible for developing and implementing Xcelerate’s business strategy, managing investor relations, and for all day-to-day management of the company’s operations.
Through creative partnering approaches and competitive service offerings, Mark has successfully led Xcelerate into the federal sector, growing the company exponentially since its inception. The exceptional all organic growth earned Xcelerate back-to-back honors on the Washington Business Journal Fastest 50, Inc. 5000, and the WBJ Best Places to work lists. Additionally, the company growth includes significant accounts with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS/TSA), Department of Defense (DoD), and several agencies within the Intelligence Community. Mark’s team has also won prime contract vehicles with the DLA, Department of Justice (DOJ), Government Accountability Office (GAO), Department of the Army, Department of the Navy, the General Services Administration (GSA), and the Senate Sergeant at Arms.
Mark brings more than 16 years of management consulting experience with Fortune 100 companies, including serving as an Account Executive and Consulting Practice Leader at PwC / IBM, where he built and managed a portfolio of 30+ Federal programs and $50M in annual revenue. Mark’s successful business development efforts at IBM also resulted in more than $250M in new business signings.
Mark holds a B.A. in Politics and Government from Ohio Wesleyan University, and an M.B.A. in Corporate Finance from The University of Georgia, Terry College of Business. Mark graduated from the 2014 MissionLink CEO class and is an active member in the Professional Services Council (PSC) where he has been selected to lead various industry activities with top government decision makers. Living one his core values of “getting better every day,” Mark is a member of the VISTAGE and GAP International Leadership Development programs focused on growing his leadership skills. He is active in the Wounded Warrior Project and had the honor of participating in the Washington, D.C. Soldier Ride where he personally raised over $20,000.00 in less than a week to support our wounded veterans. In 2011, Mark was named one of EnVest Foundation’s “40 under 40” for his significant professional and philanthropic contributions to the D.C. community. Mark volunteers as a coach for various Ashburn, VA youth programs. Mark, an avid outdoorsman, lives in Ashburn, VA with his wife and high school sweetheart Dana and two children, Jacob and Abigail.
