Marcia Hale is President of Building America’s Future – a non-partisan, national infrastructure coalition co-chaired by Mike Bloomberg, Ed Rendell and Ray LaHood. Prior to this, Ms. Hale served as a Managing Director for McKenna Long and Aldridge, an international law firm in Washington, DC, where she has advised numerous organizations including the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Google. Ms. Hale has a distinguished record of leadership in government, national political campaigns, and the private sector. During the Clinton administration, Ms. Hale served as Assistant to the President and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House. In this capacity, she was responsible for coordinating policy initiatives and political outreach involving state and local elected officials. Following her work in the Clinton Administration she worked for the Monsanto Corporation where she established a permanent office for the company in London and worked on trade issues in both the U.K. and Brussels. Ms. Hale is a native of South Carolina and received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of South Carolina. In 2014 she received the University’s College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Alumnae Award.
