Mahir is a senior at Langley High School in McLean, Virginia. He brings a unique and contemporary perspective to the steering committee as the youngest member on the planning process. He is interested in business and more specifically economic public policy. Mahir worked for White Pine Investments, a Wall Street hedge fund, last summer as an analyst. Furthermore, he has interned for both Congressman Gerry Connolly and Jim Moran on Capitol Hill which advanced his interest to serve the public. Mahir played varsity basketball for his high school and was also a two time recipient of the Most Valuable Coach award for McLean. He has not finalized his undergraduate college plans but is strongly considering UVA, NYU Stern, and the Ross School of Business at Michigan.
