Lisa La Bonte began her career in Silicon Valley and is an international business expert having spent over 20 years on the ground in 21 nations (Asia, Middle East, E. Europe) advising Fortune 50 & Global 500 MNCs in market entry, strategy and brand creation including launches of entities for Royalty, sovereign wealth funds, UHNWs/family offices.
As an innovator, entrepreneur and consultant with a penchant for technology and venture finance, Lisa has built 7 companies, raised over $225MM & served as an adviser to 100+ SMEs as well as lead advisor to a number of incubators/accelerators and private equity funds’ portfolio companies.
Lisa is frequently quoted in the media and speaks on topics such as start-ups, angel funding, capital acquisition, and innovative STEM and space education. Lisa has served as an Adjunct Professor at the Graduate level teaching courses in Asian Business, Int’l Business Strategy and Entrepreneurship.
As a venture financier, Lisa has invested in 76 early stage tech companies (internet, medical device, software) 18 achieving IPOs (NASDAQ), 8 resulting in M&A. Especially passionate about commercial space and dual use/defense tech, Lisa sponsors youth development and innovation initiatives globally.
Within her pioneering businesses Lisa has created programs under Executive Order of the White House, secured a historic Space Act Agreement and NASA Innovation Partnership, is the Lockheed Martin Partner for Innovation in the Middle East and delivered the GCC’s first United Nations Association funded in part by the U.S. Dept. of State serving five years as its Secretary-General.
Lisa holds an MBA in International Business, an M.S. in Internet Strategy & Technology Mgmt and a B.A. in Political Science/International Relations.
