Joyce Hunter is CEO of Vulcan Enterprises, an IT service and strategic planning consulting organization, where she provides executive advisory services, industry and federal business intelligence, policy evaluation and analysis, business development support, business IT alignment and strategic business consulting.
Earlier, she served as Deputy Chief Information Officer for Policy and Planning for the Department of Agriculture and an appointee in the Obama Administration. Ms. Hunter established the policy framework, and oversaw the Department’s strategic technology planning initiatives and helped lay the track for the future.
With over 30 years’ experience in the information technology industry, Ms. Hunter has demonstrated a strong ability to build and sustain relationships with public/private stakeholders, develop and lead innovative projects and inter-agency initiatives. Earlier, she earned a BA from Villanova University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. She has a certificate in Emotional Intelligence, is a Wharton Fellow and has been selected by the editors of FedScoop for inclusion in the annual list of “D.C.’s Top 50 Women in Technology.”
