Jeremy Spaulding is an Independent Advisor for user experience (UX) strategy and architecture with a focus on emerging business sectors, connected vehicles, and smart infrastructure. He combines deep technical development with business innovation to create new initiatives based on human needs and user-centered design principles. Jeremy is passionate about new technologies that push the boundaries of convention and he has been able to successfully bridge technology development with artistic thought leadership. With a keen understanding of user psychology, count on Jeremy to find solutions to complex problems. He has held research, development, leadership, and design roles in several industries as well as academia, with key roles at General Motors, OnStar, SAS, OSRAM Sylvania, MedStar, and Virginia Tech. While at OSRAM Sylvania, Jeremy founded and led an innoventure on the development and marketization of a lighting solution combing interactive media-based advertising with smart lighting technologies for the future retail experience. He has had a hand in vehicle design, wireless solutions, advanced gesture and speech-based systems, and intelligent vehicle technologies. He possesses a MS in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. He enjoys sailing and spent his high school years in Ankara, Turkey where he picked up snowboarding and an adventurous spirit for exploring Greco-Roman history and ancient civilizations.
