Edwin Gommers is a start-up advisor, investor and currently an interim CFO/COO for a start-up company in stealth mode where he is building the company’s End-to-End Supply Chain for the B2B, B2C and e-commerce segments as well as identifying potential value add investors for the company.
Mr. Gommers has over 10 years of experience in Technology, Operations, Strategy and Business Development specifically focused on Market Entry Strategies, Operational Excellence, Business Model Optimization, Transformation, Turn Around and Change Management. He has helped companies grow revenue both organically and inorganically, reduce cost and increase margins on three different continents: Asia, Americas and Europe. He has extensive cross functional and cross geographical experiernce having build and led organizations on each of the three continents which exceeded YOY targets on a consecutive basis. He has held both external advisory and in-house roles and has successfully advised Fortune 500 companies, Small/Mid-sized companies and start-ups on strategic and operational issues.
In addition Mr. Gommers has gained extensive deal experience including deal sourcing, valuations, due diligence and post merger integration as a consultant, in-house and most recently as an investor. He has a passion for innovation and has been part of a subject matter expert group on Innovation while working for one of the Big Four companies where he co-authored several articles on innovation facilities including comparative analyses across countries. His articles have been published in leading international industry and academic journals.
Mr. Gommers holds a Master’s Degree in Fiscal Economics and Master’s Degree in Business Economics (Organization & Strategy) from Tilburg University and an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania – The Wharton School.
