Dr David Fajgenbaum, MD, MBA, MSc

DR. DAVID FAJGENBAUM, MD, MBA, MSc (Penn Med ’13; Wharton ’15) – Dr. David Fajgenbaum — professor and researcher battling a rare and deadly illness as a
physician, researcher, advocate, and patient. He co-founded the Castleman Disease
Collaborative Network (CDCN) in 2012 to accelerate research and treatments for
Castleman disease. He now serves as Research Assistant Professor of Medicine in the
Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania and the Executive
Director of the CDCN. Along with Wharton MBA and Penn Med classmates, he’s
developed an innovative, “business-inspired” approach to medical research that is more
strategic, collaborative, and outcome-focused.
