Adil Alaoui

ADIL ALAOUI is Director of Health Information Technology and Operations at the Innovation Center for Biomedical Informatics (ICBI), Georgetown University Medical Center. He leads teams in integrated management, and strategic direction to align business and research requirements with technical solutions. He is responsible for the successful implementation, management and ongoing maintenance of Health Information Systems. He serves lead IT architect for the Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) funded to advance the community and nation health where he manages an interdisciplinary team that designs develops and maintains different technologies and enables Health Information Exchange. Recently, he was the technical Director of a Traumatic Brain Injury program (funded by DoD) to generate specific biomarker panels to diagnose brain injury, predict clinical outcomes, and eventually develop improved therapeutics. Prior to joining ICBI, he was the Head of IT and Engineering division at the Imaging Science and Information Systems where he directed the technical design, development and implementation of several healthcare research projects and products’ development. His primary interest lies in combining technical expertise and deep Health IT experience with management skills to provide vision, innovation and leadership in developing and implementing efficient and effective information technology solutions for future healthcare informatics capabilities
